 Diet plays a major role in maintaining good health. 'We become what we Eat’; this age-old saying is very true. Our body is made from the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and from the impressions that our senses perceive from the external world i.e. from every little bit that we ingest in the material form and through our perceptions. Here, in this section, we are largely discussing about food and our food habits. What food we choose to eat affects our health and well-being in a profound way. It just doesn’t provide wholesome nourishment to our bodies but also affects our outward appearance, our mental health and in fact has far-reaching influence on our aging as well. Adopting a good diet helps us to gain maximum nutrition from the food we eat and aids in a harmonious functioning of all the vital systems of our body.
